It's not through the district and there may be some firewall issues or something. Part of the streaming issue may be due to our network. I look at them and tell them, "I've been doing this for two years now. We now have our own chrome books and teachers can "connect" them to a laptop then display on the smart boards and teachers are thrilled. There has to be others as it's a big district however I've not heard of anyone else doing it this way. I'm the only teacher in my school doing this. I'd love to hear your experience if you've rollout out this or a similar product in an education or corporate environment. My biggest concern is a wireless clash from multiple units in the one building. There is no added required software for the client as it's built already into Windows 10. I demoed a Microsoft Miracast dongle today and absolutely love it! It works flawlessly with our teacher issued Toshibas. It is also at the mercy of our overloaded network. AirParrot & Ditto do work however it's clunky and not very cost effective. This works great with Apple products however not so much with windows based machines. I'm currently trying to find a screen mirroring solution for 100 classrooms, we've tried the Apple TV. I picked the Surface sub as this dongle is heavily promoted as a companion for the surface.
